Pedigrees of many foundation dogs of the modern Great Dane

These pedigrees are written or typed by hand and you will find some of them listed by the dogs name alphabetically as well as by number in the generational pedigrees listed below. The generational pedigree lists contain more pedigrees than the alphabetical listing. Jill spent years compiling this information reaching out to people around the globe to document these pedigrees, which formed the basis of the Time Traveller articles in the Great Dane Reporter and eventually released as a book, The Time Traveller.

I've cross referenced them because in some cases, one or the other may be more complete as an individual pedigree. You may find that the pedigree in the alphabetical listing is more or less complete than the pedigree of that dog in one of the generational listings. In the generational listings, you will find references to the pedigree number that extends the lineage. You may also find references to episodes in the book itself.

I've also included links to pictures of these dogs if they were included in Jill's archives. You can find these pictures on the Internet and/or in Jill's book, The Time Traveller. I only linked pictures that I was able to scan from her files. This is not intended to be an exhaustive list of photos for each dog and pedigree.

The Great Dane Club of San Diego was kind enough to include a photo of each dog in it's pedigree listing from 1969.
